Flat out will not let me login

I’ve tried so many different things. This version of the app will not let me login with my tv provider. I’m literally unsubscribing from my HBO plan if this isn’t fixed soon. I can’t watch anything.

Verizon FIOS no longer supported?

What happened to Verizon FIOS support? This is no longer an option for the app on iPad or iPhone. I stream HBO more on the iPad than watch at home, but now cant choose Verizon FIOS as a provider option.

Keep getting signed out.

As the title says. It keeps singing me out and I have never bothered signing out. It’s getting really annoying. Everything else is good but for the love of god stop allowing it to sign me out.

Broken app

Stupid app won’t let me login even though I put in the correct information.

Undeserving of any stars!

I hate this app. It continually tells me, when I attempt to login, that my info is wrong; and that I don’t have a subscription. I do. This is irritating to the max. Why have an app if it’s completely useless?

Movie availability

I’m kinda shocked that only certain (very old) movies are available. I’m a sci/fi fan and was looking for Star Wars, which needless to say, was not listed. The “SW’s” movie series range from dates: 1977-2005. I did find old sci/fi movie Terminator (from 1984)! Now, every once in a while, they (HBO) will air ALL the Star Wars movies (back-to-back) so I know the movies are in their repertoire of movie genres. So, is this selective availability? Or just frustrating enough to make you purchase a higher package, buy the DVD’s or otherwise find a different solution to ‘movie watching mania’? It just seems the good ones (movies) are purposely omitted. I’ve found this to be true of certain other very good movies that are mysteriously ‘omitted’ from listings.

Repeated error

Ive used this app for several years. Now suddenly it says "Comcast does not support HBO GO." Since when? I just used it on Apple TV to watch John Oliver. Why isnt it working on my iPad? Comcast please fix! Update: 2/22/18 I received an email from the "developer team" which they also posted here (see below). I cant even login to the "iOS problem solving" link they sent! Developers, look at all the bad reviews for the 13.0.0 updates! Theres something wrong with your app! I can use it with my iPad 3 and my iPhone 6s, and my Apple TV, but not with my iPad 4. On my iPad 4 I continue to get the "Comcast does not support HBO GO". I cant even get to the login screen. I also cannot login to their "itsh.bo.GO-Apple-iOS" link. Ludicrous ! I should not have to do your job and waste any more time on this. Fix it. You and Comcast need to get together on this! This is what the developer sent me: Apologies! Great content, terrible app

Opening it on an iPhone most often results in just a blank screen, which is annoying. The larger problem, though, is that the app is just trying to be too clever by half. Navigating it, finding your favorite show, figuring out which episode you’re on, etc., it’s just way less intuitive than, say Netflix or Amazon, each of which is more straightforward and user friendly. HBO has some great content but the app is, and always has been, clunky and annoying, as the many other negative reviews here can attest to. Wish they’d start from scratch and do some a) usability testing, and b) competitive analysis.

Not very good with chromecast

I usually cast movies/ tv shows to my tv using chromecast. Hbo go doesnt work very well with it and its constantly buffering every few seconds! i just wanna enjoy my movie without having pauses in between. please fix this!

Can’t log in no matter what

I have tried everything to log into this app. Deleting/reinstalling/deleting cache, using the Apple TV settings sign in...nothing. I got hbo on directv so I don’t have to wait days for John Oliver to show up on the hbo now app, but now I can’t even log into the hbo go app!

Black screen problem

App doesn’t do anything. It’s just a black screen with nothing. iOS 11.2.6 on iPhone X.

Path to bankruptcy

I have to sign in every month because hbo engineers doesn’t know how to properly implement and use refresh tokens. This introduces what is known as “friction” which makes the app an effort to use. Apps that introduce friction generally die off.

Does not work!

I have Direct TV. The app will no log me in. Terrible app. I think they want you to purchase directly from HBO and pay twice.

The app rarely works. When it does it’s great but I have to fight with it to get it to work.

Logs me out every single time I close the app

Can’t download to iPad

Very frustrating. HBO GO will not open up any more. When I try to download a new version from the App Store, it will only download about 2/3 of the program. Useless app. Not to mention the constant need to re-enter log in information.

Definitely needs some work

The biggest problem is that it does not remember where you left off watching something and then when you go back to keep watching, it puts you like 30 minutes behind. Then you have to wait for it to load and the little toggle button to go forward and backward is very hard to get to respond, so that’s a struggle. My internet connection is not very good so you can imagine how long it takes for me to get to where I was when I am constantly having to move the button back and forth and wait for it to load. Please fix this! If Netflix and Hulu can pick up where I left off without any problems, I really don’t understand why you guys can’t do that

Won’t let me sign in. I logged in on my computer to make sure I was using the correct password
