PURE AND UTTER GARBAGE

Between the cripplingly slow streaming speeds and the app being as difficult as possible to navigate, this app is the biggest headache I have run into sense I have had a iPhone. HBO should be embarrassed, and someone should be fired.

Needs Just added

I love this app on my Apple TV. On one of the updates a while ago they removed the just added tab under the movie section. If they would put that back in I would rate it higher. It’s very time consuming to go through all the movies at the beginning of the month just to find the new ones that have been added. Please add back the just added section under the movies

Crap

Never lets me sign in but yet I have no issues signing in on the actual website. Keep gettin a " sign in error" pop up. Complete waste of time this app is

Used to be a good app...

I used to use this app all the time, and it was great to watch movies off of until it signed me out of my account. When I tried to sign back in, it told me that my DIRECTV account is not subscribed to HBO, even though I am, and even checked on my tv. I’m very confused about the problem and don’t understand why I was signed out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP.

I’ve been continuing to watch the shows I like on YouTube, as HBOGO is the only app on my iPad that doesn’t stream live.

Gray bars on iPhone X

This was the first time using this app on the iPhone X. The player size left grey bars on the sides of the screen. But why gray? Wouldn’t it be better if they were black?

Repeated error again!!!

3/10/18 Update: Again with the "not supported by Comcast!" Really? This is really old. 3/6/18 Update: Finally! This app has been fixed and now works on my iPad 4. Seems to be working o.k., though it continues to be a slug when opening. Ive used this app for several years. Now suddenly it says "Comcast does not support HBO GO." Since when? I just used it on Apple TV to watch John Oliver. Why isnt it working on my iPad? Comcast please fix! Update: 2/22/18 I received an email from the "developer team" which they also posted here (see below). I cant even login to the "iOS problem solving" link they sent! Developers, look at all the bad reviews for the 13.0.0 updates! Theres something wrong with your app! I can use it with my iPad 3 and my iPhone 6s, and my Apple TV, but not with my iPad 4. On my iPad 4 I continue to get the "Comcast does not support HBO GO". I cant even get to the login screen. I also cannot login to their "itsh.bo.GO-Apple-iOS" link. Ludicrous ! I should not have to do your job and waste any more time on this. Fix it. You and Comcast need to get together on this! This is what the developer sent me: Apologies! Still cant sign in

No matter how many months of updates, I still cannot sign in on my new iPad to access hbo. It always says login error even though Ive properly entered our DIRECTV login. We pay for this service...why cant this just work? And theres no explanation of how to fix this issue that Ive seen repeatedly mentioned here by your other customers.

Rotation issues

I am disappointed that when I use the app everything is in portrait until I start a video. It would be nice if I could look for and play shows in landscape. It would also be nice if I co rotate my iPad and the app match the rotation. Another thing, HBO please do not make your app incompatible with IOS 9 as I have devices that cant go above this. This is because of Apples forced obsolescence. I cant afford to replace them. They are a reason I have HBO in the first place. On another note the App has buffer issues and crashes a lot.

Needs improvement

The screen goes black after playing a couple episodes. It happens on 3 different devices so I know it’s not one device. I just get a message saying the app can’t stream video and the screen goes completely black. I have to log into my account every time I use the app. It doesn’t save the credentials.

Love my HBO Go

Works incredibly well with Cox subscription.

Cannot even login

I can log in to my cable provider app and HBOGO asks me to login using the same credentials but does not recognize me as a user....

Maybe it’s just me, but wth happened to the new this month and leaving this month sections. I really liked those. Let me know which things I better watch before they’re taken off etc. why do companies insist upon ruining their good features??

Poor Navigation

No “watch next episode” or “continue watching”; the app does not easily allow you to watch a show from episode to episode, uninterrupted. You must look it up again after every episode, as they try to feed you into their ads for other shows instead of catering to easy navigation, and viewing of the program you intend to watch.

Glitchiest app ever. Won’t let you log in despite correct details until randomly working on tenth or so attempt. And now when I open it on my phone it doesn’t even load just shows a black screen. Less than useless!

Can’t login

I’ve used this app with DirecTV in the past but for some reason it won’t login anymore. It keeps saying my login credentials are not valid. It used to connect through my iPad, and it doesn’t do that either. It’s totally useless.
