HBO GO: Stream with TV Package App Reviews

The black pixels are lit up on the sides of my iPhone x since the recent update. Yay for Harry Potter though.

Is not user intuitive. Can’t save shows you watch all the time. I have to search every single time I load the app. Barely usable.

Love HBO. Just cant do this app anymore. Unreliable Chromecast. Freezes on my phone so that I cant turn phone to watch widescreen. That leaves me watching top left corner of the full picture. Sad. Update. Fixed one problem. Now an even worse problem. The update fixed the Chromecast issue. Which I appreciate. But now it gives me do much trouble logging on! I go to Xfinity and it takes me to a weird page where it asks if I want to buy HBO. Doesnt even ask for my account sign in. There is none! So after awhile I erased the app and started fresh. Now I cannot log into account at all. Havent been able to use the app since.

It would be nice if I could download movies on my phone for when I don’t have internet like STARZ, Amazon, Netflix, etc.

I originally got it on PS4, and got hooked on several shows. I then downloaded it on computer and continued to watch... It features excellent new shows and movies and has all the great classics. However, I suggest trying it out on trial first. Overall, good product.

This app will still not let you sign in to access the HBO you’re paying for. Just sends you back to the provider home page every time. You developers should be ashamed and embarrass of your “tech” skills. Totally useless app and a complete waste of time. Go work for crackle.

HBO app one of the only apps that doesn’t allow downloading for offline use when traveling or in areas we little or no internet access. Use to have no issues with the app. However, after the last update unless your zoomed for full screen the bars on the side are no longer a true black but more of a grayish off color that takes away from the viewing experience.

Well, the onscreen icon looks cool but that’s where it stops. When I tap on it all I get is a completely black screen. IF that’s what it’s supposed to do then it’s doing it very well. Sorry, but it’s hard to review a non-app.

Unable to watch programs on my tv using Chromecast due to constant buffering. My internet is very fast and I have no trouble streaming Netflix on Chromecast, but not HBO. Every 1 or 2 min of show is followed by 1 or 2 min of buffering. Perhaps look at how Netflix is doing it and follow suit. Please fix.

This app regularly requires you to sign in, despite iOS storing that information. I have that info at home, but I dont need it at home. I dont know which problem they think theyre solving, but I can tell you which theyre causing. Id rate the actual app, but...

Seriously? It would be great if I could watch the HBO service THAT I PAY FOR. However you can never stay logged into your cable provider, and good luck trying to log back in once you get kicked out. Youll just have to keep trying every few days until it eventually works. Be more like Netflix please.

Would be great if it didn’t cut out what I was playing every 25 minutes

The app rarely works. When it does it’s great but I have to fight with it to get it to work.

Open the app, just goes to black screen. Have tried on WiFi and cellular. Needs an update or something. I’ve tried uninstall and install. Still not working. Will update review when app gets updated.

The mobile app is terrible. This has just taken a printed magazine and put it onto a mobile screen. No easy way to go to a specific article, search text, scale the font ( now you have to zoom in and move the page around), share links, or bookmark things. Look at the competition to see how it should be done! For an organization that prints tons of articles about keeping pace with the digital world this is a woeful attempt.

Now this time the “choose provider” link is not working.
