Great content, terrible app

Opening it on an iPhone most often results in just a blank screen, which is annoying.

The larger problem, though, is that the app is just trying to be too clever by half. Navigating it, finding your favorite show, figuring out which episode you’re on, etc., it’s just way less intuitive than, say Netflix or Amazon, each of which is more straightforward and user friendly.

HBO has some great content but the app is, and always has been, clunky and annoying, as the many other negative reviews here can attest to. Wish they’d start from scratch and do some a) usability testing, and b) competitive analysis.
