This app have many bug unable to login no matter how I try

Do yourself a favor. Before trying to use this poorly designed and ill-featured app, check to see if the HBO show you want to watch is available on the Amazon Prime Video app. All the features that this app doesn’t have, the Prime app does. Prime is faster, has up front continue watching, and allows you to add series to a watchlist. Yes, the series, not a useless single episode. Try again HBO.

The app has an option to click to the next episode when you’re watching on your phone and not casting, however if you’re casting to a tv, you have to go back to the main menu, search for the tv show all over again, and scroll down to the next episode and hit play... I don’t understand why there’s no auto-play feature for tv shows like Netflix and Hulu. It’s a huge error and it makes me want to switch to a Netflix or Hulu show just so I don’t have to keep going back to my phone after every episode, and searching for the same tv show I’ve been watching for the past week. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Additionally if you’re searching for titles to watch, and you click on the title to read the info, and then you want to go back to the list before, it takes you all the way to the top of the list again and you have to scroll all the way back down to your place on the list. I’ve given up on this app many times just because of this frustration.

Besides this app being so buggy and continuing to have sign in problems, I don’t understand why I can’t just find info out on a movie or show without it starting the program. Every other app like this, you click on a program and you are met with a synopsis and info on cast and directors. This app? Click on something and it starts it right up. We shouldn’t have to leave the app to go and look up a title and find information on it. Ridiculous.

Is there no way to continue watching the next episode of a series when you open the app? I have to search for the series, then find the next episode. . .

Are you guys afraid someone is going to hack into my account our something? What security increase is there in signing me out all the time. My iPad never leaves the house and I just want to sit down and play tv, not remember the obscure password I have for this stupid app.

Why is there no steaming button for chromecast?

The only app that I have that freezes and buffers regularly. Wish HBO would get their act together.

I don’t have cable, (I sign in with my parents account) so I stream everything. This is extremely disappointing that HBO can’t or probably won’t spend the money to get a broader band on their server. I’ve come to the conclusion that this is the problem, because no other streaming service that I use freezes while I’m watching. Netflix doesn’t do that. Hulu does not do that, crackle DOES NOT do this BS!!! and that’s actually saying a lot for crackle, because it’s FREE!! I like most of the HBO series, and a good portion of the movies. It’s clear that many people use this app, it’s like a traffic jam and HBO won’t buy a better highway. I am extremely, disappointed with this app. So much so, I downloaded it on my phone just to write this review. I wish that I could take away from the overall score of this app, I would pay to do that even though the score of this app is POOR to begin with.

When I open up the app, it says that my account can’t be verified. This is some weird glitch as my HBO is broadcasting perfectly from my home television.

Havent seen bush league coding like this since Commodore 64 days! Im disabled and My iPad is fixed and mounted in landscape mode but this apps interface is ONLY PORTRAIT mode unless your playing a video THEN it will allow landscape viewing. Have to wrench my neck and head sideways just to choose what I want to watch then and only then can I sit up. Total BS!

When you download the app the first message it puts out is Chromecast available. As soon as you try to connect the app crashes. So HBO go is about as useless as udders on a bull.

This app can’t seem to keep track of what I’m currently watching and what I finished last week. It reboots itself every time I switch to something else and then I have to search for what I was watching again. The carousel is difficult to click on and moves too fast so that you click the wrong thing trying to make it work.

Spectrum isn’t supported, the 2nd largest cable company. Well done.

It’s no wonder Netflix, Amazon, and others are destroying HBO in the market. This app is all sorts of tragic. The interface is laggy and confusing, there are all sorts of strange hoops and redirects to navigate in order to log in (and then re-login over and over every several days). It’s rare that I bother watching anything on HBO anymore, entirely because the app experience is so frustrating and terrible.

Wouldn’t be all that bad if it continued on where I was instead of rewinding 20 seconds to make me watch the same scene over and over.

Am I the only one having this problem? It first happened with the Starz App ( I could no longer sign into Starz app with my PAID Comcast subscription.) Now its happening with HBO Go on my iPad! - As of recently, I can no longer log into the HBO Go app on my iPad with my PAID HBO Comcast account. What the heck is going on? Get it together Comcast and HBO/Starz, or you guys will be losing subscriptions fast! That is, if you already havent started losing subscribers! BAD. BAD. Really BAD!

Ive never once been able to sync this app to our multiple Chromecast devices. We have tried on all phones as we as the iPad. I have deleted and re-installed the HBO app, still no luck. It isnt our chromecast as all other apps stream perfectly.

Use HBOGo via Roku; since your recent update it is impossible to read microscopic text of titles. I can’t guess what the movies are by the photos. Difficult to find newer releases now. HBO not the only one that is difficult like this, but now among the worst. Really only usable to click on recent series on the home page, otherwise utterly unusable.

As someone who loves HBO, and therefore uses this app a lot, I’m so disappointed that it’s still this terrible when other streaming apps are so good. The interface of the menu is awful, because nothing changes according to your watch history, and when you’re watching a series but have finished an episode, there’s no immediate way to watch the next one if you’re just coming back to the app. Maybe I’m being picky, but I don’t want to have to search Game of Thrones every time I want to watch it. Even worse is speed. If Netflix and amazon and Hulu have no trouble with the data/WiFi speed, HBO shouldn’t either, but oh boy does it. I can’t even use my chrome cast with it because of the buffering. Not to mention the fact that half of the time it doesn’t save my place at the right spot, so I have to spend time searching for where I was and waiting for it to load. This app needs some serious work
