Arguably the worst mobile app ever made

This is a wonderful app. I do so love the fact that I can take HBO with me anywhere I go. Guess that’s why they call it HBO GO. Note to the developers: please add the ability to download for offline viewing. That would make this an awesome app.

Come on hbo you need offline mode. Plus allow use to select aspects ratio for the movies and TV shows. I hate it when it cuts off.

AirPlay on my phone to my Apple TV no longer works since the latest update. Fix please!

This app is garbage. Its slow and buggy and constantly says Im logged out. Make a real app like Netflix.

Why do I have to log in every time I use this stupid app! I have to login on my Apple TV also. I have Directv so why isn’t it automatic

I have an iPhone 6. It would ask me to choose the provider and I entered login info. Then it asked me to choose the provider again. Caught in this loop and not happy.

Opening it most often results in just a blank screen. HBO has some great content but this app is clunky and annoying. Bizarre because it’s competitors are so much better.

Would be so much better if you could please add dates to when each episode expires.

I Switched My Cable Service And It Will Not Recognize My New Provider. I Need Help.

Who ever rated this app 5 or 4 stars they must have rated for content. This app has so many issues and it’s been like this for ages. The app falls short in search for a show, video play back, chrome cast connectivity, lock screen controls, auto play, resume where you left off. I can go on and on and probably won’t help the app developer. Whoever is in charge of this app design must not have used YouTube or Netflix. HBO folks should fix this app to stay relevant, otherwise GE is a good example what a mismanaged company can become.

It won’t log in with my Comcast account anymore, making this app useless.

I have Directv with free included HBO. The app will not accept my Directv login credentials. And yes, I am entering the correct password.

I have had no problem with HBO Go on my iPhone but who wants to watch a movie on that tiny screen. For months, when I attempted to open the app on my iPad, there was nothing but a dark screen. It appeared to be permanently jammed and I could not even exit from it or access settings. I finally decided to try using SIRI to open it and that appeared to clear the jam (for now at least). I love HBO programming but I have been disappointed with this app. When it works, it is good.

This is hands down the worst video app I have EVER used. Laggy from beginning to end and filled with bugs. I’ve waited for them to update the bugs and I still don’t understand why a company this big has the worst video app. Goodness. Extremely frustrating!

Thanks for making sure that I have to sign in and reauthorize the device every few days on my AppleTV. Also thanks for making g sure your website doesn’t work with safari, so that I need to download and open chrome just to do that. Also, kick rocks. Your content isn’t worth the hassle. There’s plenty of apps that make the experience so much better for their users. Seriously, try to find another content provider app with worse reviews. Way to lead from behind HBO. Bye bye HBO subscription! ??

Extreme awfulness in getting your ATT wireless account to link with this. Multiple websites logins and passwords and then after setting up direct tv now on a computer this app wants you to create an HBO go profile too. Why? So that I can juggle three different usernames and password to access bundled services? Awful.

I downloaded the app on my iPhone and my iPad and can’t get either to work. I log in and pick a show and then it’s just a plain black screen. About 5 minutes later I get a “service error” message. It never works!
