HBO GO: Stream with TV Package App Reviews

There is no option for auto play, and every time an episode is over, you have to search for your show and find the episode. It’s quite clunky and slow functioning.

I use this app all the time!! I love hbo and honestly basic cable tv seems so “basic”. I haven’t had regular cable in years nor do I want a contract or huge box taking away from the minimalist ascetic of my home! I now have Direct Tv Now that comes with HBO free !! Allowing me to log into these apps and watch live hbo channels. I’m shocked to see such negative reviews as I use this app daily with no problems ! GoT, West World, silicone valley, vice principals, VICE, high maintenance ( shorts and the hbo series ), 3c off Documentary , Scientology doc, Kurt kobain doc are just a few of the amazing shows I get to watch again and again from any portable media device I have anywhere I go !

This app USED to work without problems. However, for the past year or so, this app works fine, then locks up and I can’t get any content to stream at all. I’ve read a lot of reviews here and other places and the finger keeps pointing back to HBO. Part of what I had enjoyed about HBO is the ability to watch content on my iPad. This app pretty much leaves that option meaningless. Maybe Showtime will be a better choice. Or, Netflix. And, of course, Apple is coming. Maybe they will have good content AND apps that actually let you see the content on remote devices.

I CANT LOG IN WITH VERIZON FIOS

Unable to watch programs on my tv using Chromecast due to constant buffering. My internet is very fast and I have no trouble streaming Netflix on Chromecast, but not HBO. Every 1 or 2 min of show is followed by 1 or 2 min of buffering. Perhaps look at how Netflix is doing it and follow suit. Pleased fix.

The mobile version of this app for iPhones is complete trash. Most of the time it doesn’t save your progress so when you comeback later you will find yourself having to skim through the movie to find the spot where you left off. Additionally a lot of the content is dated. I don’t pay for my subscription to watch movies that I can see on any other channel known to man.

Inputting correct username and password and still cant log in.

This app works okay for streaming HBO content on your iOS device. However, unlike competitors, HBO GO does not allow you to download shows for viewing offline (like on an airplane). HBO is behind their competition on this which is why I docked my review by two stars.

New version lost the casting icon, so I can no longer watch on any device I want...makes the app useless

Please add a download function to your app.

The app refuses to let me log in even after I reset my user name and password. What a joke.

Is there some way to put your children on a different account for the app?? I logged in through my provider , made a user name and logged into my phone.... my son wanted it too.. which he is to young for the late night collection and some movies ... so I put parental controls while on his phone... but they transfer to mine ... in order for me to watch the movie criminal activities I have to change the settings which will let him see “late night” or the same movie.. I’m stuck watching Pg

This app is seriously and offensively bad.

Once a month or so, the app logs me out and proceeds to tell me that my cable provider (fios) no longer exists, making it so I can’t log in. This usually lasts for a few days before it allows me to login with Verizon again. Otherwise a good app, but this infuriating glitch really makes me want to punch a wall.

Hire someone from Netflix so they can show you how its done properly

I like that everything on HBO is here, but it’s always a 50/50 gamble that it will run. And when I resume after a day, it bumps me back like 5 minutes.

It only tells to sign in but I haven register yet and won’t let me do it this is trash

Can’t even sign in because when I try to, the app doesn’t allow me to choose my provider. It automatically routes me to the Spectrum login page... I don’t have spectrum. Fix please

I like HBO Go but the app could be more user friendly. Sure you can add to your watch list but no history tracking. So I have to remember what episode I was on. Also anyone can see the “Late Night “ feature...anyone ?. When the app looks like the set up like how Hulu or Netflix have it I will change my rating.
