HBO GO: Stream with TV Package App Reviews

So angry right now. Cant watch because another device is streaming simultaneously but this is the only device I use. Help article says wait 30 min, which is ridiculous and didnt even work. So furious.

Seriously can’t believe you guys haven’t optimized for iPhone X. I have this big screen but only a tiny window to view from. Get it together HBO. Not impressed..

Doesnt even deserve one star. The app never keeps my place in any show or movie Im watching. Then i have to waste a bunch of time trying to find my place. Worst app Ive ever used. Isnt that supposed to be the entire point in the app? FIX IT HBO!!!!

Can’t download shows or movies for offline viewing like you can with Showtime and Amazon Prime.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Why make an app no one can use, cant even log in. What a waste. Needs to be fixed ASAP.

Guys, you need to upgrade so the app maximize to the iPhone X screen ratio.

The iPhone X has been out for a month, and there’s still not been an update to support its display, with no option for filling the edge-to-edge screen and an ever-present OLED-damaging Home bar.

The annoying home bar doesn’t fade out for video, please update for the iPhone X. Or heck, hire me, I’ll do it for you!

iPad functionality is weak. Why do I have to consistently log in to my tv provider account? This aspect is really annoying.

Sadly, HBO’s so-so app design and functionality do not match their great content. The app lacks support for “full screen” border to border video on the iPhone X. Also, when in landscape view watching a movie, the little “home” bar at the bottom never goes away. In other video apps, the line at the bottom fades away after 10 seconds or so. This app should do the same but it doesn’t, so you’re stuck with that thin line at the bottom of all your horizontal videos. C’mon, HBO! It’s not like you’re a sporting goods company just dabbling in video apps—this is what you do! How could the HBO app not be THE BEST video app?

This is by far the worse streaming app. Its constantly disconnecting from google chromecast and throwing errors. The UI is atrocious and difficult to find what youre looking for. Theres no list that is accessible to easily pick up and start watching say a show you watched yesterday. What you have is add to watchlist which is a joke. Youd have to add each individual episode of a show to do so.

I love this app on my old phone but can’t even turn it on with my new one. Please update as soon as possible.

Fix your app you can’t sign in or utilize it. Totally useless. Edit: Still broken can’t sign in using direct tv credentials. Account is frozen and direct tv can’t fix its on your end. About to cancel hbo.

Just like that... HBO left this app in the dust once again. The iPhone X has been out for a month now and this app desperately needs to be updated to fill the entire screen. The expiration dates on the films have disappeared once again. How would we know when a film is about to leave the lineup? I don’t know how things are with the HBO NOW app. But from what I can tell by the ratings on the App Store, they’re not good either. HBO, you need to fix this. We love just about everything that you show on your network. But if this keeps up, I might just stick with my own cable provider’s app. At least they’re already updated.
